Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card details

To provide AI-powered job fit analysis and career tools
To generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation
To process payments and manage your subscription

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate CareerCheck:

OpenAI: To power AI analysis and content generation
Stripe: To process payments securely
Vercel: To host and deliver our application

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: authentication cookies to keep you logged in, and a preference cookie to remember your sidebar state. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Mobile Application

The CareerCheck mobile app collects and processes the following data:

On-Device Storage: Your career profile (role, experience, location, salary), check history, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use a feature that requires server communication.
Salary & Career Data: When you request a salary benchmark, gap analysis, or career recommendations, your role, experience level, and location are sent to our servers to generate results. This data is processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers.
Resume Analysis: When you upload a resume for quick check, the document is sent to our servers for AI analysis. The document is processed in memory and not permanently stored.
Push Notifications: If you opt in, we collect your device push token to send notifications about salary market updates, career tips, and feature announcements. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings.
No Tracking: The mobile app does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID), does not track your activity across other apps, and does not share data with third-party advertisers.

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by using the “Reset Onboarding” and “Clear History” options in the app's Profile tab.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our service.
