Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an
Aerodynamic Data Scientist (d/f/m)
Are you ready to define the physics of flight for the next generation of military aircraft? As part of our Flight Physics Center in Manching, you are among the first to evaluate new products, ensuring stability, control, and aerodynamic excellence throughout the entire aircraft lifecycle-from initial design to in-service operation.

You apply your data science expertise to process, analyze, and interpret aerodynamic and flight physics data.
You apply data science like AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning to enhance our aerodynamic capabilities.
You drive the digitalization of flight physics by identifying and industrializing process improvements through data-driven insights.
You build and foster a digital enabler community in flight physics to promote exchange, mutual support, and co-creation.
You connect with data science networks both within and outside Airbus to share knowledge and best practices.
You mentor and inspire technical teams, introducing data science methods to drive innovation and efficiency in engineering organizations Desired skills and qualifications
Education: University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Data Science or similar.
Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in Aircraft Aerodynamics and Flight Physics is essential.
Data Science: Advanced proficiency in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and the development of Surrogate Models.
Tools: Expert knowledge of Python and the core data science stack (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, etc.).
Security Requirements: Due to NATO and OCCAR restricted data, applicants must hold citizenship from a NATO and OCCAR member state.
