The Opportunity
Ocho is partnering with a high-growth, next-generation Cloud Security platform building cutting-edge solutions that help organisations identify and prioritise real security risks in real time.

You will join a strong backend team solving complex distributed systems challenges daily, working across AWS, GCP and Azure, and building systems that operate in high-performance, high-availability environments.

The Role
As a Backend Developer, you will take ownership across the full lifecycle of short-life, high-impact engineering projects, from design and development through to deployment, monitoring and production optimisation.
You will:
Design, build and deploy backend services in Golang and/or Java
Contribute to system architecture, scalability planning and SLO definition
Perform reliability and performance analysis across distributed systems
Work with data-intensive technologies including messaging and event systems
Collaborate closely with DevOps, Frontend and Product teams
Participate in design and code reviews within a high-performing engineering group This is a role for engineers who want to build properly engineered systems, not just ship features. Tech Environment You will work with a modern stack including:
AWS, GCP, Azure
Kubernetes and Docker
Golang and Java
Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB
RabbitMQ and event-driven systems
CI/CD pipelines
Microservices architecture About You We are keen to speak with engineers who have:
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
Commercial backend experience in a high-level language, ideally Golang and/or Java
Experience building or operating cloud-based systems
Exposure to distributed systems, messaging platforms or data-intensive applications
Experience working within microservices architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD environments What's in it for you?
