Data Scientist The Opportunity:
As a data scientist, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artifi cia l intelligence. On our team, you'll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:
• 5+ years of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics • 5+ years of experience with conducting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research techniques • Experience with R or Python • Experience with using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
• Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management • Experience with analyzing large-scale datasets • Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing • Experience with developing and applying optimization and simulation models • Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments • Master's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
