Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager in Morrisville, NC.
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Project Manager to join our team and drive the successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives. This role is centered on the fundamentals of project management: scope, schedule, risk, communication, and delivery accountability. The ideal candidate is not only a strong project leader but also exceptional with Jira - able to structure work, enforce discipline, create visibility, and keep teams aligned through clear, well-maintained project artifacts.
Project Management Fundamentals
Own end-to-end project delivery from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and outcomes are clearly defined and met
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating when appropriate
Facilitate core project ceremonies (kickoffs, status reviews, risk reviews, retrospectives)
Provide clear, concise, and consistent status reporting to stakeholders and leadership
Drive accountability across cross-functional teams and ensure commitments are met
Maintain strong stakeholder alignment through proactive communication and expectation management
Jira Ownership & Execution (Critical Requirement)
Serve as the Jira system owner for assigned projects
Create, structure, and maintain Jira projects, epics, stories, tasks, and workflows
Ensure work is properly decomposed, prioritized, and sequenced in Jira
Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Comfortable driving execution and holding teams accountable
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification
Experience managing projects in Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery environments
Experience working with distributed or global teams
Familiarity with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar documentation platforms

Jira accurately reflects reality and is relied on as the source of truth
Risks and issues are identified early - not discovered late
Teams are aligned, accountable, and able to focus on delivery The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
