User Experience (UX) Designer

**What You Will Do**

+ Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, architects, developers, and users to deliver intuitive and effective user experiences for applications and metric solutions.

+ Conduct and analyze user research to document user goals, decisions, information needs, tasks, and workflows.

+ Plan and execute the following:

+ User and stakeholder interviews

+ Creation of personas and Jobs to Be Done (JTBDs)

+ Usability evaluations and assessments

+ Storyboards, journey maps, user flows, and wireframes

+ Design and prototype solutions with a focus on modular, reusable components.

+ Develop design artifacts for communication, specification, and testing purposes.

+ Write Agile development user stories to guide implementation.

+ Present and communicate design work effectively to stakeholders and team members.

+ Support the broader UX team in implementing best practices and accessibility standards.

+ Promote user-centered design and design thinking methodologies across projects.

**Qualifications You Must Have**

+ Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

+ Experience with designing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.

+ Experience conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing, and the creation of personas, journey maps, and workflows.

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

**Qualifications We Prefer**

+ Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

+ Experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular, and JavaScript.

+ Experience working in the aerospace and defense industry.

+ Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
